What Oda is cooking is that the history of the One Piece setting is cyclical. Everything happens in a perfect pattern. The Ancient Kingdom, ruled by the Lunarians, was a tyrannical state that regularly oppressed humans. The humans got sick of this injustice, formed a revolutionary movement under their leader Imu, and overthrew the Kingdom. They then instituted the World Government to guide the world. But as time went on, the World Government became just as oppressive as the Ancient Kingdom was. They became so scared of the Lunarians taking over again, that they committed genocide against their species and later against the Oharans for trying to find out the true history. And since the World Government is nearing the level of technology that the Ancient Kingdom had, that means it's reaching its breaking point just as the Ancient Kingdom did

Joyboy's failure was that he didn't break the cycle

don't think he's a fraud.....but it's interesting nevertheless.....he said that there are not many people " smart enough " who can read the blueprints and implement the inventions, but are the blueprints from the ancient kingdom ?

And he's just taking inspiration from them like reverse enginering everything, or it's actual stuff that was built in the past and he's just followind the blueprints ?

This open tons of possibilities like are the DF even " natural " ? What if they were invented 1000 years ago and Vegapunk just tried to recreate one following a recipe or something ? What if it's the same with the lunarians ( probably very unlikely xD but still....)?


Makes you wonder what could wipe out these mfkers if they were so advanced this many years ago.....
