Nice commenting now that the situation is unraveled.
It's not even "the media" like people say here that is at fault. But the Polish government said last night that Russian missiles hit them. And today they went all "ohhhh, it was Ukrainian Soviet S-300 from the old era, wooowwww. sorry for the worry". And also a NATO aircraft pilot giving his pov to fucking CNN, lol.

Many countries have Media Regulatory bodies. These bodies set standards but often they are just guidelines which are recommendatory in nature.
This makes media self regulating institutions. They will set some Code of Ethics and a board to see these codes are followed (some don't even have this smh).
Problem is we know that the enforcement of these rules aren't strict and since these are self regulatory then being biased is bound to happen.
Now, we have Grievance Redressal Mechanism and Accountability mechanism for many institutions. Why not for media?
There is urgent need to have some standards of practices being laid down for media and a body to oversee complaints against media spreading false information and penalising them

It's mindboggling how many people wanted NATO to start attacking Russia for this alleged attack. Like these bums even understand what happens if an all-out war ensues? 
But the moment US involves itself (not talking about the weapons they have been giving to Ukraine but they themselves come into the battlefield.) Nuclear countdown will start.
As I told you yesterday, nothing will happen. There won't be a nuclear option because it's not profitable. Might be my bias speaking here (got a degree in business and economics), but economically a war is an actual disaster and a waste of ressources. And what matters the most to politicians is the economic benefits. Not morals or ideals, they actually don't care about those.

But currently I believe Putin doesn't want Nato affiliated countries at border. That's a potential threat to them.
Nuclear war is all about dominance. Of course if they resort to Them they don't give a fuck about land that they conquered. Everyone knows what happened in Chernobyl (though a nuclear reactor not weapon) but how dangerous it can be to the floura and fauna.
