I dont get it, why does the UK get to play multiple teams (Wales, England, Scotland...) ? Its obvious England hogs all the big talents, and the rest of the teams get leftovers. They should make a single team called Britain for all these players.

Its true, why have four different football associations in the same country ? By that logic the US could field fifty different national teams if they wanted to.

What language are they speaking on the pitch ? I doubt they speak welsh with each other while playing.

The states have a a lot autonomy, each state has its own state laws and governors, if Texas decided to make their own football association should they get their own national team ?

Bro, the 4 making up the UK had been clear cut nations with their own languages and cultures before they joined into the political union known as the UK

Texas is made up of Americans, just like the 49 other states. The only way USA could have more than two teams is if the North and South were to split their sports teams

This is what I was thinking of, many countries have different cultures/ethnic groups/languages, but those countries have a single national team.

In the context of sports, that probably have to do with the number of people playing that particular sports (hence the population in that region/nation), how advanced/strong the league is, etc. = can you make a competitive team by yourself or not...

in UK, England Scotland Wales and N.Ireland all have their diffferent football teams, rugby teams, etc.
