Pretty much, the next step is Luffy vs the whole gang unless SHs step in to help.

SH will come to help....but I want SH to have dialogues with vegapunk and they should ask him more about devil fruits....while hoping Luffy taking care of Lucci and others if Oda wants to keep yonko hype intact....but SH will come for rescue to make Luffy look as a rookie...already I am partially disappointed by the fact that FS became a plot device this chapter...

Now that Kizaru is headed this way, this arc turns out to be very interesting. If Kizaru gets defeated, that only means Oda is rushing to finish the story. The marine will be in trouble if the most loyal admiral after Akainu falls here.

I wish Oda lets Zoro fight Kizaru in a 1on1!

Considering that scenario, Kizaru losing against Luffy here would be waaaaay better than getting stalled by Zoro, if he gives a difficult fight to Luffy of course

If Kizaru comes back later in the story, someone could even argue he got stronger than he used to be

BUT people also claim that its hard to tell when Kizaru is actually trying or not, if he is trolling or not.. So getting stalled by Zoro for a moment wouldn't be such a big deal

I think the bigger problem is Kizaru's approach. His personality and "Lazy Justice" is the biggest nerf Oda could give him.

Dude lazy his way to the Admiral rank, now imagine if he was bloodlusted and had some goals in mind.

I think he will clash with Zoro and when Luffy shows up "Ototo Monkey D. Luffy" he will just walk away reporting to Akainu.

Although I hope Oda will finally show us some different version of Kizaru, I'd love it if one by one he negs straw hats up until Zoro/Luffy and he beats them up and doesn't give them time to prepare countermeasures sending a message in case they think about invading Mariejois. He will drop some lines about not underestimating the Admirals because they become more powerful and think they own the world.

Zoro is literally a yonko commander. He's legit 1 of luffy's equivalent to commander. Both king and zoro are essentially the 1yc of their respective crews despite being different levels. Sanji and queen are essentially the 2yc of their respective crews despite being different levels

Getting stalled by any yonko commanders is not gonna be as impressive as fighting an actual emperor

No one said Zoro isn't a Yonko commander. If some Yonko commanders are stronger than others, then it means some Yonko commanders are closer to the top tiers than others, meaning the whole "top-tiers won't look impressive against commanders" logic is BS. Zoro is barely outside the top-tier realm. He is one small power-up away from being a certified top-tier, and he packs enough power to murder about any character in the series. Of course, beating Zoro would make him look impressive.

Idk man, It's fucking weird Kizaru getting a major L in this arc.
I don't feel that this arc is good/important enough to bring down a character like Kizaru that is way more symbolic than Kaidou ou BM.
I think that just a clash is enough.

Oda likely won't let kizaru outright beat up zoro
Zoro's gonna be a top tier when hes able to hang with mihawk. None of the yonko commanders are on the same level as the admirals.
Comparing zoro to kizaru makes as much sense as comparing him to mihawk
