Honestly, I genuinely believe Zoro would have beaten Crydo if Lolda had not been such a fraud, and both Zoro & Lucci are the only two fighters so far that Shaka warned another Vegapunk not to challenge. So, yeah, I believe Lucci > Crydo is not a stretch, especially since Lucci is already showing awakening (which Crydo could not achieve) and doing better against G5 than Jumpropedo did.

One simple Question. What kept Luffy in the game after losing to Kaido in the second round Haki or devil fruit?

Let's see if you can give an honest answer to this.

That is such an unfair question because Luffy essentially lost the second round due to distraction.

Luffy had no trouble keeping up with even Kaido's drunken mode even before Awakening. He got reincarnated due to awakening, a cheap trick which may or may not happen. Hopefully it doesn't because otherwise Luffy is essentially immortal and well...fuck this manga then.

But even after Nika Reincarnation, Kaido still called Nika cheap trick and then sent Luffy flying using his Haki.

Nika brought Luffy back but take Luffy's CoC and Ryou away and Luffy would probably do zero damage to Kaido.
Take Nika away and Luffy still has ability to badly fuck up Kaido.

Meaning majority of Luffy's fire power comes from his Haki output.
Now all Lucci is doing is matching power of Luffy's basic Nika punch...not some named attack or bajrang gun but basic punch without even CoC..

Idk why I am supposed to be impressed by that unless standards are very low.
I guess good for Lucci..he pulled solid YC3 level feat there.

that Luffy already is vastly superior to his Base because awakening itself boosts all those stats by default. It's undeniable for any Zoan see Lucci.
What Luffy can do is additional since he's a mythical zoan and his fruit in itself is special.

There isn't really a basis for saying that the act of using the awakened form is already "vastly superior" to base Luffy even without using the properties his awakening is even designed for in the first place. It's different for Lucci, since his awakenings main function is to boost his stats, which is not the case for Luffy. So awakened Luffy equally clashing with awakened Lucci, when Lucci benefits from stat boost much more than Luffy, isn't a bad thing.

The fact is a movie supervised by Oda holds more weight than a baseless fan argument that doesn't even correlate to the nature of the character.
