When @MarineHQ and @Fleet Admiral Lee Hung suggest awakening means more than Haki, they are basically arguing that.

Awakening means FUCK ALL if it isn't complemented by Haki. There are few exceptions of course due to match up advantages that awakenings provide.

But Haki is more of a stand alone complete power with great versatility. It can work offensively, defensively, increase durability, counter devil fruit.

Haki can basically get you out of 99% of combat situations in One Piece depending on how deep your mastery is.
Devil fruit is limited by its own nature.

He loses his strength, speed, durability, fighting style etc, and because he’s overall much weaker his haki would be crap

I guess it goes both ways but ACoA is still a form of Haki and I am still not sure if Luffy can take out Big Mom with just ACoA.
Only characters to show that level of CoA output are Zoro and Oden but maybe he can.

But ACoA is still haki tho
Take every form of Haki from Zoro and I doubt Nika even makes it to commander level. He's literally gonna be nothing but annoyance to anyone with decent Haki.

Kaido most likely has awakening too. Given how he can enter the bulky, beastly form, slim down, use Flame Dragon Torch and carry around islands for hours passively while going all out in fights, it shows how Kaido has complete grasp over his ability.

Also, Kaido was clapping G5 Luffy left and right, until Luffy used his ultimate move which includes all advanced forms of offensive Haki.

And given Roger = Primebeard, latter having top tier Haki and the strongest paramecia, it tells you how much more important Haki is.

Law, Kid, Doffy and Katakuri combined probably can't defeat any duo of Mihawk/Shanks/Rayleigh/Garp.

I don't really see how any of this affects admirals anyway. They will have both awakening and top tier haki.

Mihawk or Roger's Haki > Luffy's awakening + devil fruit + CoC + CoA

You see how you don't need Devil fruit to be all that strong
You need Haki

Without Haki admirals aren't getting out of commander level with all the pokemon awakenings.
