The first two times Luffy has used Gear 5, things have gone amazingly well for him.
At the same time, between the Marines getting embarrassed by the Shichibukai, and Green Bull's mess up in Wano, the Marines have been getting nothing but Ls.
Someone from the Straw Hats is going to get messed up by Kizaru, and it should be someone strong. Lot's of interesting ways Oda could take it.
Kizaru hurts Luffy: shows Luffy's vulnerability, even at his strongest, and that Admirals who are trying to kill you are a different breed than old suicidal Kaido.
Kizaru hurts Zoro: shows that Zoro isn't at Admiral yet, and makes it clear that very few #2's can take on Admiral level enemies (probably only Beckmann/Shiryu at this point).
Kizaru hurts Sanji: opens up Vegapunk realizing that Sanji is Judge's modified son by seeing him regenerate.
Kizaru hurts Jinbei: we get a reverse of Fishman Island, where this time Luffy gives his blood to Jinbei.
Basically, what I'm saying is that Kizaru doing serious damage here would be WAY better for the plot than him doing little.
