Nah, that's bullshit. "if" they got stronger, it's only by a small margin. Neither struggled in a fight, I.E. No Haki blooming. No breaking past their limits. They've remained Static.

Post wano, we will most likely still have big mom, who Luffy has stated multiple times he would return to WCI to beat, as well as the entire marine force.

I honestly don't understand this logic. It is a borderline fact that Luffy isn't strong enough to 1v1 Kaido, he's not going to surpass the yonko this arc.

Why can't luffy just surpass the yonko by defeating an admiral and the SSG next arc?

I just love the narrative comprehension of people who think this monumental arc in which the first Yonkou falls, literally treated as that monumental even in the manga itself (last chapter with delaying the toasts until all enemies perish) will have Luffy being the main driving force of beating Kaidou, but will have his strongest fighters face mid tier subordinates...
A lot of people gonna take huge Ls in this arc.

DJ is a PU, just like the RS.

Fighting regularly is a way of becoming stronger, that’s how pre-skip Sanji progressed throughout the story most of the time. Unless you think Baratie Sanji is equal to Water Seven Sanji and he only got stronger when he started using DJ.

But what about you Shanks and your crewmates, how come you havent beaten a yonko yet? I took down 2 in one arc shishishi.

But yeah, Zoro and Sanji will be beating the disasters, and Jinbe probably as well (Jack or Smoothie), so Luffy kinda is getting there

Just screaming "they arent on Luffy's level!" doesnt change that the fact that the 2 of them were dominating mid tiers without using full strength. They can challenge high tiers.

I don't know but it doesn't really matter. Luffy WILL defeat an admiral and a second clash with big mom has been foreshadowed more times than I can count.

So there is absolutely no reason for Luffy or any of the straw hats to surpass their yonko crew executives this arc. The shear fact that Luffy is teaming up with his rivals to take out Kaido should indicate that much.
