Character Discussion "Coby is the new Garp so he should be a "RiVaL" of Luffy"

Maybe character wise, but Cobys too weak right now even if Garp dies in front of him.
Two years ago Luffy had the same thing happen with Ace and it took luffy so much to get to this strong where he can fight emperors and admirals. Coby seeing Garp dying then a week later being that strong would be ass

The only good moment Coby ever had was the monologue he had right before getting one shot by Luffy, it shows he had resolve and was realistic about the situation and his duty as a marine :
Then the guy starts vouching for the pirates and wants to let them retreat, stopping the momentum of the marines, 2 years later he still is a fanboy of a pirate(Luffy). Nothing is likable about his character.

we have no idea how strong he is .
But koby and luffy vs bb is a possibility if garp realy die .
Like I said already you have no idea of how strong he is .
If koby is desrosa luffy level he still would have got captured by BB easely.
It is realy hard to scale him .
So we do not know after time skip what kind of grow he need to be a match to wano luffy before acoc or even after.
Because le'ts not forget tha tluffy got all of his major buff except FS in 1 single arc.
The 2 years training luffy got well koby also got this training .
But koby and luffy vs bb is a possibility if garp realy die .

I get this is what you want and understand it but I personally think that oda decide to create that roger and garp team up for xebec beause luffy will do the same .
There is 0 purpose of that otherwise .

Something for all of you gents doubting coby to read:
1. It's been stated that only the strong can even survive in the new world. Infact it was stated even the seas can kill you. The same seas that coby was casually swimming in like it was a breeze.
2. The marines literally sent coby a captain to protect royalty on their passage to the actual reverie. That is unheard of. They don't send weak people to do an important task like that.
3. The seraphim argument makes zero sense since coby commanded them NOT to attack since he was trying to reason with boa since he didn't want casualties especially since he dealt with that at marine Ford. He don't want to kill Amazonians for no legit reason.
4. It's actually bullshit for people to deduce that coby took an L because he was captured by a YONKO crew. Let that sink in. Oda felt the need to write it that a YONKO had to capture him.
5. Boas slave arrows. You have to first be hit with arrows to be turned to stone. Also you have to be weak willed to be persuaded by her charms to even be turned into stone. This is the reason why she is even able to turn inanimate objects that bear 0 feeling for her into stone. Inanimate objects lack the will to defend against it. Your will/haki defends against her ability
6.it has been stated via vivre card and sbs thay coby has advanced observation. However what has not been confirmed is if he has future sight.
7. Lastly not only did boas slave arrow fail against him while none of the other vice admirals were even able to react to it, but she also resorted to using her physical kicks that turn you to stone against him before being intercepted by blackbeard. Let that sink in. Koby was enough of a distraction for boa for blackbeard to get the drop on her.
So let's stop this notion that he is weak. At max though i think coby is as strong as whole cake island sanji. The sbs confirmed that his observation haki is advanced and that he has armament haki as well as all 6 rokoushiki techniques. The only think we do not know is if he has the seventh secret technique rokougun

2 Is legit truth and not a small detail all the other escort were VA and based on the number of royals Coby was escorting desrosa a realy important kingdom and it should have been some VA left to escort them so he was given this mission ahead of the VA probably because of his marine hero title .

7 That is truth she could have tried continue to spam her arrow but decide it was not going to work and went physical she also was attacking him when he was distracted because of the seraphim (He was ordering them to stop attacking ) So basically it was a sneak attack attempt by hancock that got stopped by BB .
The truth in this clash is Koby never had the intention to fight hancock he wanted her to surrender for protect the other kuja's because the navy were going to win with the seraphim and he wanted the less people possible to die on both side. (Legit what he yelled at marine ford)

Also Koby being the one that was controlling the seraphim prove he was the owner of the control device and not the va that was there .
