I mean, it's essential to have high physical strength and Haki. Kuina said she will fall behind due to being a girl, and Brook said that a swordsman's destructive power is decided by his physical strength. Mihawk said it's a shame to have even a scratch on your blade, so you have to be obsessive with hardening.
