Zoro got his power up during the King fight where he was able to utilise Conqueror's Haki fully, far more than vs Kaido which he did subconsciously lol. Oda went out of his way to visibly show you the strokes of black lightning and clouds for a reason, which weren't present on the rooftop when he used Asura.

King has greater durability and his flames has nothing to do with his disability. His flames increases his endurance.

Do you believe it's all didn't grow stronger during his battle with King even though he mastered enma, improved his power to control larger amounts of CoA haki, obtained ACoC and improved his skills and output with ACoC?


Zoro beat King with a stronger attack than the one Oden used to scar Kaido. That's why that author notes stated that technique can slay a dragon and single hit.

You're comparing the MC to Lucci, who's defeated a Yonko and gotten several powerups, and then Lucci and Kaku, who got the same powerups, characters that were only recently brought back.
