With Lucci and now Kaku having awakening, it makes me wonder if the WG has some way of inducing a full, controllable zoan awakening now. Maybe the Impel Down Jailer Beasts were an earlier, less successful attempt.

Swap Katakuri's CoC with Kuzan, and I bet the latter would awaken it when the former couldn't.

The inability of Katakuri to not awaken CoC or fully mastered it shows already a sign that he is not that talented.

That's the whole point, he could've been something else entirely but he never reached it whereas Kuzan even when starting out with lesser potential, maximized what he could do so and went further ahead.

Yes, Katakuri is where he's at because he didn't do so, while Kuzan would've easily pushed past his limits and did so, if he hasn't done it already. But again, Katakuri is the one with that latent ability to reach that lvl & not Kuzan right?

Or King telling anyone else to remain strongest in WB/Roger era.
Or Oda picking someone else instead of Kaido over Akainu in SBS.

That just proves my point. "They're meant to cause terrible harm." Why would a sword be meant to cause terrible harm over another? It's the "quality" of the blade. Blades have different qualities, and they can be ranked. He talks specifically about the ability of a "sword" to cause terrible harm. Not a swordsman.

If you put a 1y/o Kuzan with CoC and a 1y/o Katakuri with CoC and they both went to the age they are now:

-Kuzan would awaken it and Kata wouldn't.

CoC grows as the user grows.
If the user gets stronger, CoC gets stronger.

Kata is far weaker than Kuzan, that's a given.
