The moment I saw Stussy I know she must've been on bad side aka Blackbeard 10th Titanic Captain. I won't judge Oda but BB crew lack women to go against SH cause I know Nami and Robin won't fight men. It doesn't have to be Stussy but I had it long on my mind that BB will need another woman. What a coincidence Stussy is here with "bad bitch" fruit. Female creature that associated with blood and darkness.

There is Catarina Devon in his crew. And you could also ask if it´s supposed to be all 1 vs 1 strawhats vs. BB pirates which guy is supposed to lose a fight against Chopper for example

Well in my headcanon Nami and Robin will fight woman so ofc a woman will be added to BB. I have said it doesn't have to be Stussy but her timing is very fitting in my opinion.

I think at this point there are 3 SH that already got fixed matchup from beginning of time.
Zoro vs Shiryu (swordman)
Usopp vs Van Augur (I mean I really wanted to see Armed gun fighting)
Chopper vs Doc (the one who wanted to create all-illness cure vs the one with all-disease?? fruit)

It's more about her origin as a clone fitting typical strawhat themes, her position at MADS making her likely a scientist and relation to Vegapunk making her likely share his dream. There's not much pointing to her now, but tons of potential for the story to go in that direction.

Her being scientist is actually preventing her joining the strawhats. We got our Vegapunk already in two brains. Franky covered "technological and machinery" side. Chopper covered "medicine" side. Well if you count Robin for being their "historical and trivia things" side and maybe Nami for her "astronomical and metereological" side. I mean we haven't seen her knowledge about sky more after timeskip. I always assume that Nami already learned beyond the sky, it's just Oda haven't shown us yet (that's the reason even tho I like Monet but she won't join the strawhat). Stussy won't add anything to the crew the same way Yamato won't add "combatant" role to the crew.
