I lost it when Luffy was going to save Sanji and Oda was wasting time on some fish on their way.

This was the first instance when I started to think that Oda is a fraud.

WCI also proved that I was right.
- A plan to kill a yonkou with just a rocket launcher
- Germa 66 entry and not giving them fights

I believed that Big Mom's commanders will be defeated in WCI and Luffy will defeat Big Mom later.

I was hyped for Wano.

But Oda reminded me again that I was right.
We all know what happened in Wano.

One thing I will never forget is that he offscreened Rev Army's first major fight!

How Oda get away with such obvious bullshit?

It is not like I dont have interest in OP, but Oda has been following the same pattern. It is just baffling.

Second half of WCI. Everything before was totally fine. Dressrosa was weak but Doffy carried it because he's a great villain. I personally enjoyed PH and Zou was amazing.

Until the bomb exploded WCI was totally ok as well, i eagerly waited for each week but after that is when i didn't feel it like before anymore.

Don't even remember how many chapters of Wano i actually didn't read but only read the spoilers or the parts I'm interested in.

fishman island prob worse icl
ph was nice rewatching the anime
Punk Hazard anime version is my bottom 1 arc (maybe only wano worse)

I remember more scenes of them running then plot

every episode was literally <5 minutes of content padded with 2min intro, 2min recap, 2 min outro, 30 sec eyecatcher, 6 minutes of running and the rest being scenes stretched to oblivion

I am one of those weirdos (oda defenders lol).
I only have bad moments that i left behind really quick and the good ones outweigh the bad ones
so i am more than ok.
I've been reading op from 2006 and it's week i have an excitement looking for spoilers like i am a kid lol.
I find this series a very enjoyable part of my life and i believe it's too difficult for me to dislike it at this point. The only reason i can think now in order for me to say that one piece is bad is oda to kill a strawhat without fulfil his/hers dream.

half the crew doesnt even have a real dream bud

Oda prolly cant even recite them himself without notes/interns

I did a reread of OP, and I think the pacing took a clear nosedive during Fishman Island.

I feel as a story arc, Enies Lobby took 56 chapters and so much more interesting things happened in those chapters compared to Fishman Island which lasted 51 chapters.

I think at its core the ideas Oda have are (generally) not bad at all. They are drowned out by horrible pacing and bloat, where Oda focuses on irrelevant stuff and rushes the interesting parts. This reached its peak in Wano.

Mostly feel similarly. There are some bad things occasionally but I find much more good than bad and I don't really have any weird hangups that would make me mad. I see lots of people that have started to not like it as much are people that have agendas or headcanons and get super tilted when those things don't happen. Just take the story at face value and it's enjoyable, make theories if you want since it can be fun but once you start getting angry your theory didn't pan out you've lost the plot.

Definitely post-TS, although, it was also the moment I've become a weekly reader, as I started reading One Piece around the time the break started.

Pre-TS I only kinda disliked Skypea, it felt a bit overstretched to me, but most of the islands were really cool.

Sabaody was cool, although I absolutely hated what Oda made of Sanji, I always liked him as a cool smart guy with "Mr Prince" and "Hunter" moments, as well as a unique fighting style, and instead, I got a bloody horny mess instead of my beloved character, like wtf, it's not funny, it's just annoying and sad.

Fishman Island was kinda like Avatar movies to me, pretty but meh in terms of story, albeit the Jinbe-Luffy moment was great (when Jinbe donated blood), and I also remember Big Meme and Pudding reveal, that had me hyped, how naive I was...

Punk Hazard was mostly OK for me, I liked Law's reintroduction, and it was funny how he switched SH to different bodies.

Dressrosa is horrible on a weekly read, at some point I had arc fatigue and was thinking of dropping the series for some time so that I don't have to wait in agony. I also wasn't too thrilled that Robin got robbed of a good fight, and with so many characters half of SH had to get away (noooooooo) and even though I understand why so many characters were introduced, and why Luffy needed a fleet, I still am so tired of that arc that I never got to fully re-read it (I just re-read some bits here and there, and I must admit it's a lot better on a re-read, plus Doffy was a cool villain with an interesting backstory & ties to Law).

Zou was really cool, I was hyped for lore and upcoming Sanji storyline (oh how naive I was x 2), it was short & sweet!

Now WCI, it was a wild mix of horrible and amazing, interesting concept and theme, but an underwhelming main villain, a lot of characters were a mess, I love and hate Pudding at the same time, I hate that Sanji was robbed of a cool fight and had to bake that stupid cake that achieved nothing.... but I really liked a lot of moments as well, Pedro's death was really emotional, I surprisingly warmed up towards Bege and his crew (previously he was one of my least favourite supernovas), Brook was an absolute MVP, and Carrot's sulong reveal was amazing as well. So it had its ups and downs.

Levely/Reverie was way too short for me to consider it an arc, but it was hype and I wanted more.

And then the crown jewel of disappointment, Wano. Almost 150 chapters of Oden's wank, I'm still salty as fuck as I was really looking forward to SH being united after so many years apart, and then we got.. that. To focus on the positive, I kinda liked Roger in flashbacks, and the initial Roof Piece with 5 vs 2 was cool, I'd prefer if it ended that way, but we got what we got. And I'm now in Stussy4nakama therapy group after that "I wanna see the world" "nah, changed my mind" Yamato disappointment.

Egghead is amazing so far, I keep my fingers crossed, maybe as soon as all Oden-related characters disappeared from the main story the curse was lifted and we'll get cool stuff again.

Sorry for a long rant, I didn't mean to ramble, but it was good to remember some good moments even in the worst arcs, so thanks for tagging me and asking for my opinion

It was a slow process for me
All post ts arcs prior to Zou were mid for me
Dressrosa was the best one but still mid
I got my hype back during Zou because of the revelations and couldn’t wait for WCI and Wano
I didn’t enjoy WCI and was disappointed
Wano was my most anticipated arc and the biggest flop in my eyes
I absolutely hate this arc from the beginning to the end
All the insane hype and love tuned into a big disappointment
It was the finale of the entire saga and flopped

So it was a slow process but Wano was the death sentence
I still have hope for the final saga though
