Makima explained it when she fought chainsaw for some reason they're forgotten but their existence is not earsed. There's just certain forces that chainsawman got get rid of.

From what makima has said the nazi devil was completely earsed. There's still traces of what the nazis did considering ww2 was fought in the chainsawman world and the people that died from it are still dead
