When I harrassed your head with the process of fighting for values rather than fighting for politics blueprints, when I said that one of the biggest problem of this world was the concept of merit and the division regarding this concept ?
You have here the real life exemple why there is a right and there is a left.
ALL of this argumentation stand on one single premiss: "merit is a reality and therefore people who looks like they deserve more should earn more." This is the myth of the savior. This is the myth of the man that surpass th odds to be the best. This is the myth of the individual hero.
I love storytelling, it tells us so much about human society. And here we are in plain sight in front of someone telling us that we should believe in big heros that are just created by the might of their will and their intellect.
This is the concept of merit in all its splendor. And this is why the left and the right can't be reunited. They don't understand that this concept is just a myth, that in reality big sucess are build on the shoulders of thousands of men and women, than you are the king mostly because you were either lucky or the son of a king..
But we do. This is why despite what those guy are saying.. the progressive models are stronger, smarter and in the end.. winners.
