I'm a lot of things, but not a hypocrite. If I'm going out of my way to go down into the gutter with you is because I believe you truly deserve to be called what I called you. You accuse Solis of feeding on anger, and while that isn't a baseless claim I do believe you spread blatant hate throughout the forum against women. I see through your dog whistles. No matter how eloquent you try to portray yourself to be, that doesn't make your takes valid.
OK I understand. What we have here is a simple difference in culture. Here in the west(even among Muslims in the east) we find the even twig stuff to be absolutely degrading and sexist to the woman. For you, you live more according to your religion and from what you're saying, you much rather embarras yourself than use the twig method.

Unfortunately it is the case of cultural differences, but it has been a handful especially when things like this are pitched to provoke a response by offending people and not promoting any educational discussions.. The intention here were clear.
On the matter itself, the intention of the practice is not to harm but to have the wife understand the desperation of the husband
A man in islam is supposed to be the epitome of pride in faith and public as the head of the house and provider but his wife is where is supposed to be the weakest and least stren.. this occaions highlights it where a man has to sacrifice his pride and submit to god by treating his wife in a manner that befits her.

I understand its not befitting of morals that i preach.
Its just when you present the most explicit and indubitable of understanding to people just for them to twist it and mock it and what you stand for between their lines of their comments and through their grotesque dismissiveness its hard to hold it back.
