That's what we call a big strawman.
Usually, people who denounce stuff in media don't do it because of one instance. Most of the time, if not always, it is done because of a systemic redoundance and with multiple examples. In short, a
repetition that actually portray X people as X repeatitively. Instilling the idea that X people are X. when they are not.
In those for case its black people being portrayed
systematically as:
- Villain
- Non relevant
- Savage
- Invisible
The reality is that people won't say "ho they did that, it's racist *angry face*", they will tend to say instead:
"ho they did that..
again.. which taken as a all just show a systemisation of racism in the industry...*sigh*".. But of course, strawman are always simpler than the reality.
Note that none of those example show people being angry because the little mermaid or the fairy from peter pan is black or the fact that April is black or stuff usual conservative and the alt right protesters tends to do on twitter. This little strip is only aimed at people who denounce racist treatment in media.
In short, this little comic strip just portray a conservative way of looking at people who denounce
legitimately racial problematics in media.
Funny how a little comic strip can be so telling of the one who uses them.. Don't you think ?
