I mean i don't even know what to say, she literally said her motivation is to become a Celestial Dragon and you're raging out, dunno bro, read your own version of One Piece i guess
That's her goal, not her motivation.

Oh by the way. I wouldn't rule Shaka out just yet. Remember that his memory have been syncronized with the Brain, so his personnality may still be around here somewhere if that shot indeed put his corpse into eternal slumber.

I talked about thematically she doesn't make sense, her motivations are stupid, the theatre she put one with the petrification didn't make sense and the timings make no sense.

This is why it's pointless to argue yes, you're just strawmaning at this point

I'm questioning her motivation for petrifying herself, why she did it in front of 2 SHs that didn't even suspect her and then had the foresight to tell S-snake to unpetrify her (without being seen by the SH or having S-snake be defeated) to reach Shaka in time to shoot him before he rescues Vegapunk

If you think Oda is going to answer that in a satisfaying way, you have more faith in him than i do. Because i doubt he will adress any of this ever.
Man, you are perfectly stating why this twist pisses me off. None of it makes sense.

All of the plot decisions regarding York's "betrayal" don't make ANY logical sense, they're just there to keep us from knowing what's going on.

"Hahaha, if York is petrified here, no one will think she's the traitor."

Yeah, BECAUSE WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT TO BEGIN WITH?!? Cameras and coms are getting taken out, just walk around, and take Usopp, Lilith, and Franky out. Being Petrified risks her getting blown up and DYING, and she's a super genius???

Oda should have given three/four Vegapunks legitimate reasons to want to betray the Stella, and seed them through the plot.

It's not that Egghead is a bad arc. It's that the Vegapunks and Bonney are the worst written parts of it, which is just hilarious.

Fucking Stussy has been so much more interesting than the Vegapunks with SOOOOOOOOOOO much less screentime.

I'm sick of Vegapunk being the shittiest part of his own arc. The Seraphim ordering system is clunky and doesn't make sense, as many people have pointed out, York's actions and motivations are a mess, and despite getting plenty of time for lore, we've gotten very little actual new information, which multiple panels actually being dedicated to revealing the fact that Vegapunk is so fucking stupid he didn't realize KING the MUTHERFUCKING FLAMING TANK WITH BLACK WINGS NAMED THE WILDFIRE, was a Lunarian.

Ugh. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. People who waited years for Vegapunk have every right to be pissed off.

Feels like a post Ghostly would make with a few things missing.
But that has nothing to do with my thoughts on it, this post is still popping.
Great job bro.
Also like you said, the Punks haven't been developed to the point where we'll really care about them being traitors.
And Oda with the GOD DAMN TENRYUBITO SHIT AGAIN.
He's rubbing his hairy ass in our face saying " Look! Look! They're assholes! Do you guys get it? They're pedophiles! Rapists! Criminals!! HATE THEM!! ". We get it Oda, they're absolutely deplorable. Just make Luffy and Sabo kill them already or something.
If he really insisted on doing that, make her wanna be an Elder or something.
Or even make her want to be the king of the world aka Im sama.
But ngl the traitor plot shouldn't even exist anyway.
York=Kanjuro
Seraphim, Marines and Dome=Big ass fireball ghost I forgot the name of
Etc.
This is such a blatant attempt at recreating some of the threats from Wano and it's obnoxious, we don't need allat again.
And at least those threats made SENSE, and the resolves to the threats did too, but this is just so bad man.

I think I've already seen this kind of idea about Carrot elsewhere.
I just want to ask you a few questions: Are you ElGnomo from Twitter? or are you Natinko from Twitter?
Because only this kind of defense about Carrot, I have seen them in those two Twitter profiles.
No i'm neither of those people. I'm just someone who's absorbed the fandoms ideas and come to my own conclusion on the likelihood of her return. Nothing is ever set in stone 100%, but there's literally no reason whatsoever for me to fully believe Oda doesn't care for Carrot and won't expand upon her CLEARLY OPEN storyline. People are just coping saying that she's done and won't join, because to be quite honest, her yamato and vivi are likely the last strawhats and Oda has been pretty clear about setting these 3 up since Zou began. When Carrot got onto the Sunny the very first time, it's the same Chapter that Vivi appears again.

Onigashima was primiarily Yamato focused, while Carrot had her focus all throughout Zou and WCI to highlight her relationship with Pedro and the will that he left for her.

As for Vivi, she was introduced long ago, and is now getting back into the story as a reoccurring character.

I believe each strawhat that joins in the New World will spend time away from the crew before returning and joining up. Jinbei and Vivi are prime examples of this, and the way that Yamato and Carrot's stories ended, it's likely the same for them.

Y'all keep saying this

And I'm still waiting for this to be a thing. Cause Stussy hasn't actually been interesting. She's been hot. But persona wise she's been.... hot

I don't know where all this "interesting character" y'all keep pulling out your ass come from. She don't got banter, she don't got a really compelling motive. She's just sultry.

Also, I want to be clear, I like Egghead, just not this plotline.

The worst part is, I literally didn't have expectations for Vegapunk outside of Devil Fruit and Lineage Factor research, which has so far been interesting. Liked the Ohara stuff a lot, too.

I just wanted Vegapunk to make sense, have some fun wacky science moments, connect with Franky, and not do a lot of random shit for no reason, like so many other hyped up characters.

I mean, Shaka was watching Luffy and Zoro fight the Seraphim for how long? Does Shaka seriously not know how Lunarian flames work, despite BUILDING THE SERAPHIM?!? We're clowning on Zoro for this, Mr. Brilliant Scientist is getting attacked and like "Should I tell them how the Seraphim's defense system works? Nah." How in the hell does Vegapunk not know how to fight his own robots? What the fuck are we doing here?

Vegapunk experimented on King... what? Over two decades ago? Even ignoring how dumb it is that Vegapunk, the man who IS BUILDING A GIANT DATABASE USING HIS BRAIN BRAIN FRUIT AND WANTS TO SPREAD INFORMATION FREELY THROUGH THE WORLD, didn't know that King was a Lunarian, how in the fuck has he been experimenting with Lunarian DNA to the point he's made Lunarian CLONE CYBORGS and he can't tell Luffy and Zoro: "Oh, BTW, these guys are special and won't take damage when their flames are on. Here's when their flames turns off."

WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?!?!?

I'm convinced Oda went through too many revisions in this arc and got lost in the sauce.

Luffy and Zoro refusing to use CoC is also ridiculous on a large amount of levels.

Franky's been ignore the entire arc except by Edison, who next bothered to ask why Franky can shoot laser beams in the first place. Man is clearly a cyborg, and Vegapunk doesn't care.

Sanji, Zoro, and Jinbei have had great moments, and I think Nami's had some good moments as well, but, overall the crew still feels too split up. Is it so much to ask for one fucking arc where the Straw Hats don't end up doing 5 different things at once??? The pacing would be sooooo much smoother if they didn't get separated at the beginning of EVERY FUCKING ARC.

That's why the outside stuff is so much more hype: look at how fast paced, crisp, and full of energy Blackbeard vs Law is. When Oda writes outside the arc, his pacing dramatically approves. Look at the Reverie.

I guess it's my fault for thinking Oda learned from the things that made Wano drag like Kaido scratching his balls my dragon deez nuts on Onigashima's rocky roof.

Straw Hats split up too much, little crew interaction. Too many characters introduced at once (Scabbards/Punks), without individual plotlines/moments to make them feel important. The story needs to tell you why you should care about the betrayal, rather than making the betrayal make sense with previous plot points and feeling earned. Important fights are offscreened completely, when we get transition and recap panels all over the place (sorry Green Bull fans).

I really wanted Egghead to learn from Wano. But, people like me need to accept the Pre-Time-Skip isn't coming back. It makes it bittersweet. Even if Carrot, Yamato, and Vivi joined like I want, would they actually feel like part of the crew, or just tacked on afterthoughts? Do I even want them to join the crew, if they get treated like Chopper and Usopp nowadays???

I'm at the point where I think there's no way Stussy can join the crew because it would be too cool and unexpected.

The end of Egghead should be great, but I'll always regret how Vegapunk was used in this arc. I hope others enjoy it, though. The designs and aesthetic in this arc are some of Oda's best work yet, I just can't take the random plot fake-outs and bizarre character decisions.

And tactical.
Most other characters would just try to fight Lucci and Kaku head on, she simply put on Seastone lipstick and incapacitated them.
She's hot and cool, ironically.

If most other characters you mean "Luffy and Zoro" I suppose. But that one moment against Lucci and Kaku aint enough to make me some super fan of hers. I expect Cp0 agents to do what CP0 agents do, which is be underhanded assassins. That's like the bare minimum.

Stussy's a clone of a Rocks' pirate who worked with the OG MADS, who betrayed CP0 in order to side with Vegapunk. Her Mom also potentially clone Whitebeard, and Stussy herself is known for running a pleasure district, and stealth low-diffed two fighters who had been clashing with Luffy and Zoro, Lucci and Kaku.

If you think she's not interesting, that's fine, but I think she's got plenty of banter (her letting Kaku fly in the laser grid is hilarious to me), and one of the more interesting backstories in the series. Still want to know what's up with her wings.

Lilith and York are both hot as hell, and York has bored the hell out of me, while Lilith I'm still mixed on. Fun character, but kind of uneven. I don't really see the "Evil" part, if you aren't able to change her desire.

If it was just about being hot, people would be fawning over York and Lilith the way they did Stussy. Sucking CP0's blood out was cold. Still want to know how that worked, too.

Half of the shit you listed is background, not her actual persona.

As for the second half, people are fawning over Lilith and York just as much as they are stussy. I don't think you live in reality if you don't see how much ungodly amounts of fan art lilith in particular gets.

I don't want her lineage. I want her personality. Biting Kaku and Lucci was a cool moment. But that's all it is, a moment.

For someone who has so much going for her in terms of her backstory all she's done for the last like 8 chapters is go "Where's vegapunk" and exposition dump.

I'm sorry if I expect more from the Clone of Ms Buckingham, Queen of the Pleasure Districts and possibly the oldest CP0 agent than just "You're so silly, sanji"

This is the greatest true that has ever true'd before.

That and York being a complete shit reveal, maybe i can cope that someone else is working in the shadows as opose to it being toilet gril randomly wanting to be a Celestial dragon.

I think the biggest issue with the York situation is that we don't have time frames. If Oda had provided us with timestamps. You could reasonably map it out so that it logically makes sense by having everything be desynchronized.

Like if it was revealed that S-Snake attacking Franky's group was actually 30 minutes before Luffy and Zoro were fighting, you could make things reasonably sound.
