Shanks owning this manga series again and again by every single appearance he made. Lol

Last time he trolled an admiral and made him retreat by just throwing Haki and now he is showing what a real Yonko is. Years back he challenged pirates and marines (at there home) singlehandedly and made them agreeing on his terms.

One shotting someone who had just buried a yonko (even though jointly with Law) is epitome of all feats in the series so far just like toying with an admiral (top tier) with just throwing haki. Lol

It's really not bad writing that this happened, but Oda could've given Kid a fair shake. A feat that doesn't hurt the RHP's. After all he gave him a Yonkou level bounty.

Future arcs being less crowded by removing Kid and Law is good though. Now it's time for Dragon hype while Shanks vs Blackbeard is being prepared.

Shanks was able to beat Midd because of a sneak attack, Kidd will come up stronger despite the fact that we are literally in the endgame, Shanks is not a swordsman because he didnt cut Midd.

That indicates that they're high-level swordsmen tho. The whole schtick around swordsmen in One Piece is that anyone can cut with a sword, but it takes skill to choose when you want to cut.

If a character is not cutting their opponent with a Meitou it's because they didn't want to, which is indicative of skill.

So i assume we both agree that kid and Oden weren't cut?

Shanks and roger have no need to holdback against oden or kid tho. They gain nothing from not trying to cut them
The attack being a shockwave like attack makes more sense then them restricting their power

Kid losing and making a comeback always made sense. That's literally storytelling 101.

Character loses--->character gets stronger---> character wins

He already completed his arc. He's a loud mouth who brags beyond his real abilities. Kaido tried to humble him once, but Luffy helped him through it. Now Shanks humbled him for good. Next time we see Kid he'll be more mature and know his place, which is far from the top dogs. He can still be of use to the story without having to take Shanks out, whom is already destined to succumb to the incarnation of darkness.

Nah Shanks made the active decision to bring his entire fleet out, he could’ve just left them on the shore of Elbaf and rowed out to face Kid solo.

But facing Kid solo would mean Shanks can’t sucker punch him while he is distracted by a fleet, and Shanks would never do something so honorable because he is a weakling and a coward.

Shanks neg diffed the entire Kidd Pirates with one swing, while making sure Kidd is fully healed and had his strongest attack charged.

It proves that Big Mom was definitely rusted as a top tier. There's no way that she was still in her prime. Now it also makes sense why Kaido called her pathetic when Big Mom jobbed to the supernovas on the rooftop - because in Kaido's view, she has become pathetic.

But Shanks is really built different. Even Kaido can't perform such a feat like that with a single ACoC swing. Unless it's his strongest TB or Ragnarok (not counting Blazing Bagua).

It's a fleet in the same way Luffy's Grand Fleet is one. Low and midtier characters banding around for one cause. They're not real powerhouses themselves.

I'm not Ndule, I never claimed Shanks was going to lose in egghead island. But him losing to Kid in elbaf or in the final war would be the completion of Kid's character arc.

Even then he should have stopped Higuma from running away with Luffy and smashed the Lord of the Coast effortlessly without a spot on his shirt.
