We have RHP,CG, Revos, Gorosei/Admirals to focus but this author goes like "hey guys wanna see some cool fodder marines?". I am willing to bet my house that if you made a worldwide poll almost everyone would like to focus on the main groups rather these classic fodder marines that waste more screen time.

Regarding BB's crew, yes i was patient the first 5-6 years after MF but when Oda decided to make them hypetools to everyone and their mother then yes, right now they suck. They have zero hype and the only one that might be safe from getting clowned is Shiryu and i really doubt thats the case because if BB isnt returing to Hachinosu he's going to be Garp's hypetool.

The hero coming to free prisonner. We are about to see why shiryu was feared even more than magellan. he is about to do multi-tasking.
