Yeah, and no doubt that his son and grandsons took paths opposite of him in no large part thanks to his parenting.
I mean what could go wrong with giving your grandsons to bandits, in a dangerous country with shitty individuals and dangerous animals, and training them in the most abusive way but without even bothering to try to teach them morals and why pirates are bad people ?

Garp is the hero of marines and a symbol of justice in the eyes of millions, if he turned his back on the marines what do you think will happen to normal civilians.
Garp knows the WG is corrupt but the Marines try their best outside the control of the WG to fight evil piracy. Ace did what he did because he's a dumbass, Garp could only do so much, but yeah the world is more important than taking revenge for him

Itachi in general. Never felt bad for him or thought he was a hero. Thought it was weird that people did.
In one piece though I do feel sympathy for everybody the author males me feel bad for. The only two characters that I think had dumb conclusions were well three actually Waipa, fisher taiga and Hody. Oda does race issues really bad. Waipa should have never worked for Gan fall that is just abhorred writing. Gan fall isn't just some random guy he's the leader of the people who basically tortured Waipas people for hundreds of years and stole their land. Still has the land and rules over it basically because he likes it.
Waipa should kill that cracker and take his land back. Holy I feel was done bad as well. He was kind of the idea that there's bad on both sides and that he had no motivation for hating humans even though humans have done everything there is to hate against his people. Fisher taiga is probably his best attempt at accounting for racism and I even understand his feelings about not accepting blood of humans but somebody should have taken over in that situation and saved his life. Man was a real living treasure and along with Tom Oda killed off the two most prolific Fishman in history ND left the Fishman with no power. Now the only other important Fishman work for humans giving the indication that their salvation is appealing to a humans for sanctity.
Honestly waipa and fisher had qualities like the pirate king and whitebeard and other legends though I'm sure their archetype is not a very popular one and wouldn't be appreciated by the childish masses that now read one piece. I mean Waipas ancestor was the stuff of legends and probably on par physically with the admirals. I would have rathered had him stay relevant than see a recycled kaku. Fisher taiga climbed the Reine with his bare webbed hands. Enough said.

Momehnosucks: He is a powerless dipshit who is son of a Gary Stu man. His "character" is about live up to his father's legacy of protect their dumpster of a country,when this legacy should have ended after his death,and everyone in that country deserve to die a slow and painful death. In the whole time he is on screen,he is whining about his inability to do anything,and his lackeys make it even worse by blabbering that this is not true. The blabbering that "we are demanding too much of a child" is horseshit. He is a daddy's boy who will never be able of face the harsh truths of life and should be euthanized.

Fraudo grew up on the warpath and failed to overcame his violent habits after break free from it. King of Fertilizers belong to a race that thought they were untouchable gods because of their special attributes,and after the world government proved this not to be true,he helped Fraudo become a tyrant like them. King of Fertilizers and Fraudo are no better than the people who plagued their lives when they ended up repeating their same atrocities.

Oden/scabbards/Momo storyline i had no sympathy , i feel kaido did good job on them.
Kaido was actually protecting wano from invaders and world govt his measure were wrong but bigger bad were out there to eliminate him and along with everyone.
I feel kaido had measures and his ultimate aim was to overthrow world govt in long run .
