And the next time we see him he is fine. This is one piece where a character can be hit with an attack that cuts a building into pieces that is behind them but doesn't do the same to them. Being hit in the face of a tail from a dinosaur should do some damage.

Punk Hazard Luffy casually dodged an explosion point blank and Zoro's reactions are not that far off either. And current Luffy even has FS but could not see the outcome of Apoo's soundwave? Ichiji tried to hit Katakuri with a self explosion (hence a pure sneak attack) but the latter foresaw this anyway and yet, Luffy can't?

Oda sure can hype certain characters but why the fuck does he always dehype other characters for hyping another one? That does not make sense...
