Rumors, the same way we have had rumors of sun god Nika until its appearance. Maybe nobody approached the ship enough to know that it's Dragon. Maybe the only person who survived this event is someone who doesn't know Dragon or couldn't identify him. There can be multiple reasons.

Dragon's ship is also called "Wind Granma", how fitting. Guess what is Luffy's ship name? The Sunny.

It is very likely that Dragon's fruit is related to making wind and whirpools.

Sounds crazy if you generalize it yea. 1 top tier beating another top tier with their entire crew.

In theory it's very doable. Oven would probably be an issue. But not even Katakuri can avoid getting neg diffed with FS, FS is irrelevant to how fast and wide Kuzan's attacks are. He can solo an entire crew in the blink of an eye if he wants, and this is without factoring in a potential awakening.

You have to keep that in mind, if he has awakening it's even more likely he only has Big Mom to worry about, and I'll be damned if I think Big Mom is beating Kuzan.

Blame Oda, not me, that this can be argued.

This why I semi hope Smoker is the last crew member to parallel Aokiji, since Aokiji is clearly very angry at the Marines and will do anything to achieve his justice.


The fact that Aokiji saved Smoker and told him there are other ways to achieve justice just screams out the possibility that he can do this as a pirate and and not simply "use" Luffy (though it may come out that way at first).

Im actually excited to see where Smoker shows up next. Egghead does feel like the place now.

I feel the same way. Smoker is the only potential Strawhat that I can see fighting Aokiji and having a good storyline during the fight. Two former marines who joined pirate crews to follow their own justice. This is also the first time he's been separated from Tashigi right? Now the only question is what would his role be...

Granma is also the yacht that was used to transport 82 fighters of the Cuban Revolution from Mexico to Cuba in November 1956 for the purpose of overthrowing the regime of Fulgencio Batista.

Batista initially rose to power as part of the 1933 Revolt of the Sergeants, which overthrew the provisional government of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes y Quesada. He then appointed himself chief of the armed forces, with the rank of colonel and effectively controlled the five-member "pentarchy" that functioned as the collective head of state.

Batista seems like a parallel to Im and the five-member pentarchy to the Gorosei / Five Elders.
