It’s because the animators now know how badly Zoro was written in the arc.
I think Wano started with everyone, animators included, thinking this was gonna be a big Zoro arc. Hence why Act 1 and Act 2 of the anime gave Zoro entire filler fights that were even better animated than his final fight. Literally there are about 5 entire fight sequences that don’t even exist in the manga just given to Zoro just to flex animation for him in act 1 and Act 2.
Then when Act 3 was getting started, the arc was ending and everyone, animators included realized, “Oh shit, this isn’t Zoro’s arc”… Hence why this King fight is so bad, they realised they were wasting time and animation on an unimportant character
