Every warlord lost their ambitions
That's why they couldn't peak to Yonko level even if they become top tiers

Croco got crushed by WB and since then he doesn't go for One Piece anymore

Mihawk probaly failed to lead his crew and got betrayed after they ended up fighting a Yonko (maybe shiki? BM? ) since we know he never met nor fought wbp till Marineford
He realised PK race is just too tough. That's why he hypes it and also afraid to fight other Yonko

Buggy gonna bring him and Croco back to the game

You could say Doffy and Law both care a lot about their crews and are smart dudes that know how to navigate in a world of yonkos.

In Dressrosa they made a big deal about how Law and Doffy contrast each other. Their childhoods were shown back to back for a reason

Moriah knew he couldn't beat Yonko after kaido whooped him, he made zombie army as revenge tactic

Crocodile knows he can't beat Yonko even now with Mihawk & Buggy help...He just wants a military utopia

Mihawk knows PK path is hard. He can't beat a Yonko
Now he's gonna have to trust his new teammates and at least try again go for One Piece

Buggy and Shanks : Buggy is a half D , both have CoC and also from Noble families

This chapter also proves thay 3 Warlords aren't enough to match or beat Yonko
You need all 7 or at least 5 Warlords to rival a Yonko Crew
Which make senses since Navy can handle 3 Yonko crews by themles while Warlords handle 1

I wouldn't put it past Oda to have "God" Usopp beat "Genius" Buggy. A fight that the whole world hears about. They are so weak that they don't even touch but their followers believe it's CoC haki in the works. Usopp gets 3.5B truly making him a top tier legendary pirate.

Mihawk is WSS. He fullfilied his ambition.

He is to the side of WB who also fullfillied his ambition of having a family.

They are not losers like Roger who came too early and were killed by a tiny virus.

When it comes to buggy, crocodile, and the rest of the crew them all previously having dreams of the one piece and giving up on it are pretty obvious
Us seeing this chapter that the opportunity buggy was given reignited his drive and ambition as a true pirate. Him by the end of it helping bring back the wholes crew passion

Crocodile also had dreams of finding the one piece as we saw in the baroque works cover story

The only current odd one out being mihawk so far but what if like the rest of them he also once shared that ambition. Hes at the very least like the rest of them going to take part in it now cause it isn't like he's just going to leave cross guild now.
If he was once after the one piece just the rest of them what do you think killed his ambition and made him stop?


Gecko moria joining would also be even more fitting because he's another character that was after the one piece but gave up. Maybe cross guild will be made up of members that previously gave up on their dreams of finding the one piece with buggy unironically bringing that passion back

Technically also Doflamingo. Several Donquixote members talk about making him Pirate King.

These 5 are even featured together in Chapter 0.

- Fame : he is the WSS, everyone and their grandmas know who he is
Power : he is the WSS, he is peak of power
Wealth : never showed any interest whatsoever in gold/money.
Regarding his ambition, he already made it to the top why would he want anything else ?

Them previously individually failing in one way or another to get the one piece just to get a second chance at it by all working together. Just a bunch of dilf going through a mid life crisis trying to make the best out of the hand they were dealt lol

In Mihawks case, I think he lost his ambition too, the day he joined the Warlords.

Warlords are just the failed attempt ti be a ruler.

Mihawk since he becamed WSS and a Warlord, seemed to have not seek any worthy opponent, forgot was it felt to have great duels, current Mihawk is rusty.

It is a fact he doesnt want any kind of trouble, he doesnt want to fight top tiers. Mihawk also loat his way, Buggy should start something in him.
