I think if Luffy fights Imu then Akainu gets shifted to someone else, likely Sabo, unless it’s pretty short or some kind of team fight.

We don't know what kind of fight they will have with Kizaru. On the other hand, Shanks will be killed by Blackbeard and Imu is not a fighter at all.

In Wano there was a lot of filler, Oda will speed things up a lot, focusing on the stories of the upper levels instead of the downtrodden villagers.

I am not that sure about the Blackbeard Pirates anymore.

Seems odd what Oda is doing with them.

Oda said the series story is based on fighting against Yonko. Akainu doesn't fit to that description.

Revolutionary Dragon and Sabo need opponents, they can actually do something by fighting them since fighting pirates is Luffy's job.
