Whitebeard is an orphan that came from a war torn island that couldn’t afford the heavenly tribute.

Big Mom is literally a walking mental disaster that ate her child slaver mother.

Kaido was almost impressed into the military as a child soldier many times.

Blackbeard obviously had it rough.

Fujitora saw so much messed up stuff he blinded himself.

Greenbull literally has “double suicide”/“lover’s suicide pact” tattoo’d on his chest.

Akainu obviously had it rough.

Kizaru is shown with a broken lamp and studying in rags as a kid.

It’s implied that Aokiji had a brutal past that Garp saved him from.


And what backstory does Shanks have?
Celestial Dragon raised by the Pirate King with an endless supply of chocolate.

Why did Shanks cry?
Why did Shanks steal the Nika fruit?
Why did he even become a Yonko?

Come on answer it. There is clearly unfinished business with Shanks' story.
