Double standards.
If something said Kaidou could solo 2 Admirals at once they'd scream it's non canon and someone edited it.
We don't need to worry much about it when they are selling the original volumes(102) worldwide with that written.

Kaidou has already been referred to as the strongest in the pages of the manga, whereas Akainu has never been called the strongest Marine on any page of the manga, you know what? I don't even think he will be called that in the manga.

This is not “something”, this is Oda’s own mouth as this magazine is recording an interview with him.

If Oda’s own mouth said Kaido was the strongest for a fact, then that would pretty much be the end of it but Oda has never called Crydo the strongest. He’s only stated that a clearly bullshit rumor exists about Kaido being the strongest.

Meanwhile Akainu is stronger than Garp and Roger from Oda’s own mouth. Lol

You're right it's not something.
It's not even real.
This scan is a particularly popular hoax among Admiral wankers, I'm surprised so many people fell for it.

I would imagine you and Red Admiral are the Ouki and Renpa of this forum lmao.

Long term rivals but hold deep respect for each others.
Kingdom is actually a really good analogy for old Gen vs mid Gen vs new Gen.

In Kingdom the old Gen is looked back upon with the mythical respect one would expect of the old legendary era. You have Ouki and Renpa who achieved over 100 victories for their states and their own eras are looked back on with a heavy reverence.

Then you have the mid Gen. Mid Gen in Kingdom would be characters like Ousen and Moubu. Nobody really knows what these guys are fully capable of but initially even Ouki is like “not one of these guys is worthy of the old era.” However as the manga goes on and figures like Ouki see the mid Gen in action, opinions change to “holy shit these guys might even be above our generation…” and as time goes on it’s pretty Fucking clear to everyone that the mid Gen might even just be straight up better than the old Gen.

And then the new Gen comes about and achieves what both the old and new gems were unable to achieve.

This also applies to One Piece, except in One Piece your average reader has the IQ of a monkey so nobody really understands this. Lol

What’s the source for this tho
The same magazine interview where Oda said Akainu would become the Pirate King in less than a year.

I’ve always been baffled how people can continuously sit there and say current Akainu below Prime Garp when they at the same time say Shanks ~ Roger and Prime Luffy > Roger

Haahh???

I always thought it was funny and hypocritical that people pretended Sakazuki was leagues below Prime Garp and Prime Sengoku in strength even though the Marines are stronger than ever before. Most of the same people have no problems putting Kaido/Shanks at or a little below Roger/Primebeard level too.

Facts, once you are appointed as Fleet Admiral, Imu gives the Gorosei who give the Fleet Admiral special drugs which level them up so they can stay awake, energetic, and alert to get through all of that paperwork.
Admittedly a little funny.
Anyway, Doflamingo literally said that he teaches the lower Admirals, and I don't see why he wouldn't train to get stronger himself.
