Kaido and BM biggest problem was Oda coming up with 7 shichibukais that luffy needed to deal with first.
If he had stuck to his "luffy vs yonkos" original plan, they could've been much better and be dealt with sooner.

But no.......he likes to shove a bunch of stuff in the story for kicks.

Then later he has to create a way to deal with both BM and Kaido at the same time so not to steal time from the rest of the story.

Ehhh 50/50. We couldnt jump to the 4 most powerful pirates in the series earlier on. The crew needed to get stronger. I will always argue that the Shichibukai were a necessary step.

That said....BM and Kaido just took up waaaaaaaay to much time. Doflamingo's arc was also too long. We are finally "here" but the cost was a decades worth of "buildup". Now we have was seems like will be at least another 10 years of final conflict.

You should drop the series again and disband powerscaling discussions like you once said after you cried ab Sanji battling both King and Queen which you claimed WOULDN’T happen

There has only been one occasion where Sanji did not fight an opponent on the same level A’s Zoro’s and that was Baratie

We jumped right into a shichibukai in the very first grand line saga.

And look at the range of their powers.

te first one loses because he gets wet.

the last one needed some major haki gear 4, etc, etc, etc upgrades to be defeated.



Plot convenience and timing matters A LOT in one piece.
