He was always going off by himself, 1 vs all, and wasn't at any point the leader of the sorcerers (at least as far as giving out orders goes)

A character that was actually coordinating attacks somewhat was Mechamaru.

Flavor wise yes. Mostly in games though, the Leader of a faction tends to be the most powerful role, obv Gojo here.

But i think @Flower said Gojo is very likely the town leader before, not sure whether its based on info or just a safe guess.

I agree it might just be to take out inactives (rip those who wanted to sub in) but i think if we can use it as a second lynch of sorts for town, it'd be a lot better.

I have no issue with it being used to eliminate inactives, but we have a sub bench of 9 according to the sign up thread, so it absolutely should be a second lynch.
