Magneto is a bad comparison because Kid and Magneto have different roles in their stories. Magneto is the main villain of X-Men, Kid is a side character.

Kid can never be Magneto because that would mean he’d need to overshadow more important characters like Zoro and all of Luffy’s antagonists.

Everything poor Kid pulled on Onigashima required two hours of running around picking every weapon available from fodders. Imagine the prep time for a mecha with his ability.

That was without awakening. With awakening I'm sure he'll be able to do it like Magneto and just absorb all the metal around him.

I don't think so. Not how Fujitora has being using it. You can dodge his gravity space. You can dodge or destroy his meteor. And he didn't showed much outside his DF so his arsenal is all around his DF.
