The tonal dissonance of nonchalantly referencing character deaths is what makes this series so intriguing to be honest.
Normally, it's very hard for me enjoy this type of manga, but this connects with me.
Now that I've reread the chapter, I'm appreciating even more how wicked it was! Power's trauma is really well displayed and incorporated into her dumb mannerisms ("Check if the Darkness Devil is at the front door" xD). But while being humorous, it also felt pretty disturbing with that whole "There's something in my mouth" situation, and not to mention the blood.
This chapter was a somewhat wholesome experience in terms of Denji-Power-development, but at the same time, it left me feeling a bit sketchy. We know Power is great at putting on acts, and pretty much all the times she played her fears to get close to Denji. Also, as the Blood Devil, having Denji drink her blood? Does anyone here believe Power might be posessed?
lol, even though I'm into guys, I can see the appeal of the female Chainsawman cast.
I loved Himeno for multiple reasons, she was the first character to provide insight to the psychological mess that comes with being a devil hunter. Also that barf scene, obviously. She was likeable throughout.

I loved the character progression of all three of the main cast and thier interactions with each other. It was very heartwarming to see.
Gun devil still wants the chainsaw's heart though, so Aki I am sorry to say he will still find your boy and grill.

Wholesome indeed! Aki is such a sensible character, love how these two buffoons make him care enough to forget about his revenge. Also, I felt that cooking thing was some real development for Denji, although I'm not sure if the bad taste was intentional or not, lol.
The Future Devil must be enjoying all this, knowing how it's gonna end....
