Do you recognize that there is systemic racism and systemic police violence in the USA and France ?
They're destroying their own property in the process.

The city hall is my building. The shop down the street is mine. The post office as well.

Because your taxes go into keeping all of those places up and running. And into building them as well.

Destroying shit will not get you anywhere. It's just a vent to let out somebody's frustration.

I understand that frustration exists and there's pent up anger, but acting on emotion doesn't get you anywhere.

It was the trigger. But so much of them got arrested in the last days that last night night turned out to be chill
Whilst some may legitimately believe what they are doing is just, they are ultimately harming innocents in their pursuit of justice. They're destroying people's property, perhaps their livelihood, in order to what, help people?
Help through harm...
It doesn't help. It's nothing more than domestic terrorism.

The thing you re missing is people don't care when you just talk about issues, words don't mean shit in the grand scheme of things, people have been complaining about the problem for decades without any actual answer to the issue

Believe me man, we've had 30+ years of just talk in my country without ever getting anywhere.

And riots happened.

And guess what? Nothing changed.

Do you legitimately believe that everyone who is rioting is doing it due to this?
Of course not, like I told you, there are stupid people everywhere. But there is a clear movement that we must listen and right now:

- Macron is blaming video games
- Darmanin is putting 50000 more flammes in the streets
- The mayers don't understand that we don't want there lives but there institution down
- The far right is making a "cagnotte" recolting half a million euro for a cops who was arrested and inculped for homicide
- And the media are still avoiding to talk about systemic police violence

NO ONE IS LISTENING

I will come back on you on this notion of domestic terrorist in two hour, I have to do something, but this is madness you will understand why.

Please, refrain on debating until then.

A big ass problem with rioters is that there's no organization to their retaliation and is usually blind violence. Like with the George Floyd riots that was about fighting racism.

Who suffered the most deaths? Black people
Who suffered the biggest loses in homes? Black people
Who suffered with the closing of their businesses? Black people
Who was responsible for most of the damages? Black people.

They literally started destroying each other's neighborhoods leaving many left with nothing, all the while the people calling the shots received minor inconveniences at best. People gotta accept that many join riots just to go crazy.

Burning and destroying stuff in protests will never make sense to me.

And this is not just about France.

Look at the George Floyd protests in the US. Looting, destroying, burning. Such violent protests (or riots would be the better word) attract only those that want to:
a) earn quick bucks by stealing
b) let out their rage in a group setting where arresting them will be difficult

Hell, a decade ago we had protests in my own city. A bunch of idiots came with the peaceful protesters, started rioting, and before you knew it administrative buildings were on fire and IT equipment was being carried away by Johns and Janes Doe.

And guess who had to pay to get all of that fixed afterwards? Yes, the same citizens that destroyed it in the first place.
Exactly.
These people don't actually care about BLM and what not, they just want to throw shit around and have an excuse for it.

I agree with that.. problem is that an organisation would mean a structure and time.. Its very hard to do when the target is to burn down urban offices to make a point

They would get arrested on the spot

Yes they do, they just take the risk to lose things they need.

Please, answer my question.
Your question doesn't warrant an answer because it is a well known and established fact.

It's like asking someone "do you recognize that water is wet"? Or "do you realize French riots are happening in France"?

Destroying your own shit is not the answer that will solve your problems. It will only create more of them.

Dialogue through worthy representatives of your cause is one solution. Creating political parties/movements that represent your cause is another.

Burning down Joe's tire shop isn't.

I dont exactly endorse every riot I see, but to say that they never amount to anything is simply ahistorical nonsense. If riots never lead to anything than my wallet would be full of pictures of the queen right now
I suppose you're American then?
In that case, it was an uprising with the aim to gain independence.

But in the cases we talk about, it's citizens rioting against their own country with no organization behind it.

I want you all to understand that the power is SCARED right now. It's working.. We just need to be strong and keep pushing.

Little example:

Here the power is completely scared by the idea of condamning the "cagnotte" of 500000 € of the far right toward the policeman who murder the kid. Because if they did that, it would turn the police AGAINST THEM. Thing is, that power arrived at power with a "progressive"mindset... they WON'T be able to keep that double langage they HAVE to condamn that "cagnotte"

For the first time in YEARS they are facing their contradiction, a progressive governement that turn rightist and played too much with the far right and policemen.

This really doesn't make sense right ? Because you just said "we have to push further, they're scared but not of the rioters, they're scared of the cops". Are you like pro-police-state now ?
