Depends on the countries.
In developed countries the population would drop down by 50% or more. Mainly due to starvation.
In less developed countries there would not be such a drastic decline.

If you did the same scenario with men then the outcome would not be as bad. Food will be the biggest problem for women, but since most farmers are men, or people in jobs that farming depends on are men, there would only be minor issues.
A couple percent would die too of course.

Practical jobs are very male dominated while support jobs are very female dominated in developed countries.

Most women aren't even acquainted with the level of work that goes into society as a system

They'd barley survive in the ruins of the infrastructure if they manage to manage some of it.

And traditional primitive women are likely to survive as they are more acquainted with it even then less efficiently as they'd aren't as physically capable as men in hunting.

So the underlying assumption is men are motivated from the fact that women will return in 5 years.
