Your gender and pronouns is great when you're getting shot in the head. It's absolutely asinine to use woke politics for a military campaign but I'm not surprised. The enlistment and re-enlistment rates have been on a steady decline for the past decade, and it's one of the reasons they keep upping the military budget(now $1Trillion) and increasing benefits to convince people to sign up.
