Most channels post about random stuff,they are not really professional content creators.If you pick a decent niche,produce good content and keep being consistent,you will earn some money from YT.
If i had to become a content creator,i would just buy a decent gaming PC and do live streams playing the most popular games while making comments and stuff.You need to show your face and voice to create that emotional connection with viewers.Gaming channels have a lot views;subscriptions and it takes no effort to produce such content.

I told you, give me a reason to believe you and I will, if those studies exist and are strong, I will have no problem in changing my mind. I love biology as much as I love sociology. Show me in what way we are different and lets have fun.
My problem here is that I'm fighting people who believe (not you per say) that sociology should not be taken into account when its in fact the answer to the majority of our problems.

Your PC needs to be able to play modern games on their highest settings (or at least high) and be able to livestream it simultaneously all the while running other programs that you might need for a livestream. A top of the line gaming PC may be required for that.
You may also need a mic and some other things needed for streaming as well.
Plus those livestreamers probably played the game that they are streaming at least once before (depends on what difficulty they're playing the game at) because consistently dying on a livestream will probably get a streamer roasted by his/her viewers instead of them paying attention to the actual gameplay, probably.
