It says the same thing. The hostage thing is something we know.
Hawkins says that if they do not choose freedom and leave, even if he still has them under control, Law will still kill him, hence get out of here.
Nah it's not the same thing. In the scanlations, Hawkins literally admits Law would kill him if they don't go. In this one, it's more like Hawkins not wanting to risk a fight with Law with uncertain outcome(as a character always looking at battle odds) if he can capture him by trading his crewmates

The fact taht he literally fears that outcome shows his chances are not good, especially since he is someone considering everything.

And now we have a bloody Law beating Hawkins and Hawkins shaking.

Sounds like excuses to me. Why would you think the Shadowy figure defeated Hawkins while it's Law that is holding the sword to Hawkins head?
Because Law was in karouseki without his sword. I do not see any reasons for Hawkins to free Law and give him his sword back especially after what he did to capture him. So it seems logical to me that someone else freed Law.

Not necessarily. Hawkins' main objective was capturing Law. He didn't care about his crewmates. If he sees he has a 50/50 odd against Law if they actually fought and sees another outcome which leads to a 100percent odd in capturing Law if he traded his crewmates, obviously he'd choose the second outcome. At the end of the day, Law's crewmates were worthless in Hawkins' eyes

As for the current situation, it's messed up. One spoiler says Law took advantage of a situation, other one says it's Hawkins' plan and Hawkins only has one life now, so much more nerfed than Law. I think we'd need to actually read the official chapter to be sure

We don't actually know he was seastone chains. That's an assumption.

Though the shadowy figure is interesting. Do you think that's Drake? it will be weird if it's him given he joined Kaido willingly.

Reborn

Throughout Heaven & Earth,I alone am d Honored One
As of now, to me it seems that Drake or kyo freed law to escape.

Law fought Hawkins after that and defeats him and pin him down with sword which lead to Hawkins change of heart and revealing that Apoo betrayed them. This change of heart could have occurred to Hawkins feeling betrayed by Drake or kyo.

Law find the act of Drake or kyo suspicious and a kind of conspiracy but still decides to go along with him.

True but if it was not seastone, Hawkins is stupid:lusalty:

Drake is my first option but Oda might surprise us especially, as you said, because like Apoo he joined willingly
