Questions & Mysteries Can someone explain how Luffy came back to life?

I dont really think he died. What I do think, is that he was on the verge of the death... difference?

Well, the technique is called Awakening and in Zoan users, it is said that the Zoan Animal can take over the users body. I have the theory that this only happens when the users is so weakened, near death state that the Zoan tries to take over the users body, aka; awakening the real devil power, but this only happens if the user loses the battle.

Reason Kaido asked Luffy "who are you?"

So Paramecia users also need to be near death state imo, but unlike Zoans, they just awaken it while Zoans can los their body.

Title? nothing in the manga has shown that luffys df has the ability to revive characters from the realm of the undead
I suspect it is an ability of all mythical Zoans, they grant an extra life when user dies and fruit Awakens. Dying doesnt equate to Awakening though as there are other requirements - body and mind catching up to the fruit or whatever it was...
That's why we haven't seen no Awakening from Orochi or any other mythical Zoan. Kaido explained it - Death completes a person.

Failed Zoan Awakenings where the will of the animal takes over the body is more akin to the possession of a demon taking over someone's body when their soul has become weak enough for them to do it, don't you think? Sounds like, as I mentioned previously, a diminished life force energy. Kill the spirit of the man and the beast takes over? Idk.

Are agreeing with me?

Every long running shonen show protagonist has his own ressurection +transformation moment.

Naruto almost turning into kyuubi 8tails) + a few other times he died.

Ichigo dying vs ulquiorra only to comeback stronger.

Its a shonen trope.
