The entertainment industry made people very biased towards the idea that aliens have crazy technology and can travel light years in an instant. Some may not have the resources like we do.

To visit planets furthest away from Earth that we can observe, it would take multiple centuries with our current tech so that's impossible. The further away, the more time needed. So what about planets we can't see? They are probably so incredibly far away that it would take other lifeforms multiple millennia to get here and we don't know their lifespans. Alot of variables.

You never know, just because they can reach us doesn't mean they are better. Their biology might be long distance travel friendly. Crocodiles can go 1 year without water/food. Having mysteries in the universe and science AS A WHOLE being incomplete doesn't mean you can't have completed work to make some claims.
