These people say “the Vice Admirals are complete jobbers, the Straw Hats will low diff them”
And then literally in the exact same breath they will say “Egghead is being set up to be a shocking victory for the Straw Hats!”
…So where exactly is the shocking part of this victory if everyone already expects the Straw Hats to win lmfao.
Let’s reiterate what we know about the result of Egghead:
The incident at Egghead is resolved in a “shocking” manner. If you ask any 13 year old idiot and Mr Morj, they will tell you that Oda is establishing Egghead as a series of victories for the Yonko before they all meet at Raftel. They will also tell you that the Marine Fleet and Vice Admirals stand no chance against the Straw Hat Pirates.
….So where exactly is the “shocking” part of that victory supposed to come in if the Vice Admirals job exactly? “No one expects the Vice Admirals to lose!” Sounds like fucking everyone expects them to lose lmfao.
If the Straw Hats low diff the Vice Admirals, and Luffy beats Kizaru/Saturn or whoever, where is the shocking part of this outcome? Sounds like everyone already expects the Straw Hats to beat this fleet, so the Straw Hats beating the Fleet would not be shocking at all lol.
Many of these same individuals would argue (incorrectly) that the One Piece world sees the Yonko as being stronger than the Admirals. But if Luffy defeats Kizaru, what is shocking about that if everyone already thinks Luffy is above Kizaru? The same logic applies to Saturn. If the OP world perceives the Yonko as being stronger than the Gorosei, there is nothing shocking about Luffy beating Saturn lol.
This would be the equivalent of arguing that Kaido defeating Kid was some kind of shocking outcome lol. “The world never saw Kaido’s victory over Kid coming”
“Oh but Lucci said he refuses to accept Luffy as a Yonko so that means the entire world still underestimates Luffy” it just goes to show how fragile Yonko fans’ ego is, literally one guy in canon says he refuses to acknowledge Luffy and all of the sudden “LuFfY nEeDs To PrOvE hIs YoNkO sTaTuS tO ThE wOrLd!!”
So these guys simultaneously believe that the entire world thinks Luffy > Kizaru/Saturn and therefore a Luffy victory over Kizaru/Saturn would for some reason be shocking even though apparently everyone believes it anyway, but they also believe that Lucci refusing to acknowledge Luffy means that Luffy somehow needs to prove himself to the entire world lmfao.
I always laugh at people who think Egghead is about the Straw Hats proving themselves to be Yonko. It just goes to show what a miserable failure Wano was. The whole point of that arc was supposed to be the Straw Hats proving themselves to be Yonko level by literally fighting and defeating a Yonko crew. But Wano was such an abysmal failure that Luffy still needs to prove he is a Yonko, apparently,
Now look, the idea that the Straw Hats will actually defeat the Egghead Fleet is actually not a bad one. The Straw Hats have Vegapunk on their side who may as well represent an entire great power by himself at this point. If Vegapunk turns the full power of his scientific might against the Fleet (which already doesn’t want to destroy Egghead) alongside an entire Yonko crew, then the Marines and Saturn being defeated is not completely far-fetched.
But again, you guys have to understand that Egghead will result in a shocking outcome, and the Straw Hats beating a bunch of characters who everyone already believes stand no chance against them anyway is not shocking in the slightest, lol.
