General & Others STORYTELLING - Gear 5 is amazing

I felt like I just got done reading one of the 100's of youtube essays that already venerate gear 5 as the greatest thing in human history.

You could get a lot of clout on youtube/one piece twitter.

Thought about that, but I don't like theorizing too much so I would have no real content.

I get it now, the guy is having a meltdown for the following reason:
- We shat on his post, not agreeging that Oda's presentation of G5 was even decent let alone the greatest thing since sliced bread

- ILLogiko takes that as us disagreeing with the definitions of foreshadowing and shadowing, which he takes as fact (yet there are multiple different definitions for each term, but whatever)

- ILLogiko rants about how he can't be wrong because the techniques are objectively good (fallacy since the technique itself cannot be good or bad, only its application can be).

- ILLogiko then argues that, because the definitions of these literary techniques are correct, he is also correct, thinking that his analysis of the story must be impeccable

- Cue circular arguments where ILLogiko proves the irony of his username

It was always there. A sharp mind should be able do predict gear 5 only with gear 2 and 3
yeah and you lack one

oda foreshadowed about nika during skypia arc but he had no one idea on how to introduce it and gear 5 was a last minute push

also what each individual considers as peak fiction is subjective rather than objective so don't go around calling others stupid cause they disagree with you or your takes

by the way being so full of yourself always makes you appear as silly and blind

Nobody was able to explain precisely why they were disagreeing lol

Sure :)

Are you playing a character or what is this shit? :suresure:
Not at all. but I can understand that my takes can be a little bit overwhelming. But they are simple. Power through anger is a classic trope in media, a toxic one as it reenforce the thought that when a man gets angry, he will be justified in his anger and show of power and destruction (you can now think how this can be applied in real life). Most transformations in manga history do that, and that's quite problematic. Gladly, One Piece is a little bit different.

No.
Luffy literally became angry at Lucci and suddenly found the power to defeat him with a Jet Gatling which was stronger than his previous techniques. The anger transformation trope isn't toxic at all, unless you believe someone is a psychopath for including anti heroes who kill their enemies.

I'm not wondering why everyone here dunks on you. If you see everything else as toxic, maybe you're the toxic one?

No. Luffy is not angry against Lucci. He just doesn't want to fall again. Luffy sometimes fight without anger. This was the case for Lucci and Katakuri. In both case Luffy only wanted his people and him to go ahead and survive. Both were just in the way.

And Luffy didn't transformed by anger but training and creativity. That's the big difference with One Piece in front of other manga like Dragon Ball.

Yes, power through anger is kinda problematic indeed.

Don't worry, no one here dunks on me, rather the opposite hehe
I'm having fun.

This is nonsence lol
It doesn't mean anything "if you see people as toxic then you are toxic".. what ? lol
Furthermore, this has nothing to do with the subject.

Gear 5 is the pinnacle of creativity. Its beautifully written and that's a storytelling fact. Wether you disagree or not :)

Find me one place during pre TS where Oda hinted Gimu gomu was a mythical zoan
Where Nika was actually a fruit

Even before Yonko Saga or during Yonko Saga before the raid
Luffy with G4 doing transformations is hinting that he is more than just a Paramecia.
Zoans do transformations, not Paramecias.
