Luffy is strong. Zoro temporarily blocked Kaido once, perhaps during the time he used Ashura, in which it's presumed that hybrid Kaido exchanged blows with Ashura Zoro. Kinemon didn't block him; his swords were broken and his body crushed like a soda can. Marco indeed blocked it, using his Phoenix defense, redirecting a heat blast aimed at Nami.

Marco, Zoro, and Luffy are much stronger than Sentomaru, however, Raizo and Kinemon have never blocked anything.
So Kizaru has started off really poorly here, I honestly hope he gets better because so far it's pathetic.

So, Kaido allowing the retainers to hit him is an L (loss), right?

- He was fighting in a 9 versus 1 scenario.
- The retainers' attacks could barely cause superficial damage, even when three of them combined their efforts.
- Kaido and Kizaru have different mindsets; is Kizaru more durable and resistant than Kaido?
- Kizaru can't afford to be hit by attacks like Kaido allows himself to be, given that he's quite fragile, after all.
