its important to remember his next fight is shiryu not some top tier. if anyone is defeating kizaru here , its luffy which again would solidify his status as a yonko.

Shiryu did what he's supposed to do against someone much stronger than Kizaru, someone that eats Admirals for breakfast.
Anyone that thinks Shiryu fights anything like Kizaru so it can't happen is reading Ocho Piece, Zoro clashed with Fujitora and then went on to play hide and seek with Pica, fought 2 Younkou and defeated King and now he has the perfect opportunity to clash with a light sword.

The Straw Hats are not going to simply escape, something major has to go down and the Straw Hats escaping is not major news.

Even WCI which was another escape arc didn't go as planned.
