One thing I'm wondering - how do you think things are gonna play out at the end of the arc? Where do you see where Zoro is gonna be at the end of the arc? And I suppose where do you see Oden? Because there's set up for Zoro to surpass Oden by the end of the arc...meaning either Zoro is gonna take massive jumps - from not being able to beat Doffy in Dressrosa (according to you) to being above Oden, or Zoro came out of the time skip stronger than he was given credit for.
Don’t find much worth in worrying about what ifs or future scenarios with unlimited variables, but unless Zoro is soloing Kaidou, if he was already stronger than Mingo entering Wano, there would be no reason to even give him a significant upgrade
before having him fight seriously. It serves no real purpose for this arc. Luffy is getting them because he’s clearly out of Kaidou’s league, Sanji needed a boost in order to remain even somewhat relevant in battles, so Zoro needed Enma to fodderize the calamities? Because apparently, he was already stronger than them before receiving the upgrade. Lmao right. Something clearly isn’t adding up here. Someone stronger than Mingo getting a power up would embarrass Yonkou commanders, since Doflamingo as he already is, is more than enough to give them a solid fight. Yes damaging Kaidou might play a part, but then what? Is he just not going to have any 1v1 battles with anything less than Kaidou (calamity lvl opponent), or is he just going to give them the Pica treatment? You’re probably in for a rude awakening if you think this is the case.
One thing I’m certain of is Zoro is gonna be a hell of a lot stronger after this arc then when he came into it.
Fishman Island was 1 day, Punk Hazard was 1 day, Dressrosa was 1 day. In this arc alone I think 2 weeks passed. Not only did Zoro get a significant upgrade, unlike on Thriller Bark, he has had multiple arcs worth of time to train with the blade. Act 2 was like a mini time skip for the strawhats especially Luffy and Zoro, they are coming out of this way stronger than they entered. So yes there is nothing wrong with Zoro being below Doflamingo entering Wano to being above Oden exiting it, after multiple days of training and an upcoming battle which will possibly be the toughest one since Mihawk back in East blue.
Hopefully Oda gives Zoro a big name to take down for the first time ever, cause he’s severely lacking in his resume, he’s only ever taken down lackeys. Feats are cool and all but you have to do them against meaningful competition, Pica had an entire arc and he couldn’t damage Zoro once, Hawkins was given mere seconds and Zoro left bleeding (save me the excuses this isn’t a deep dive into that battle, it’s a surface level comparison). That’s the difference in quality of opponents and Zoro needs more of those, Wano is on a grand scale so I’m confident he’ll get them here. So yea quality opponents + multiple arcs worth of time to train = massive upgrades, how that’s harder to believe than him coming out of the timeskip Doflamingo level, given everything we know, is odd to say the least.
I agree strength wise Scabbards are different, but speaking about the strongest Kinemon said each of Ashura/Kawa/Denjiro costs 100 men. Doesn't that mean they are the same level?
Who knows and who cares really, Denjiro is a no show and Kappa is featless, those two add nothing to the discussion atm. Sure that might mean they're around the same level but Ashura Doji is scalable since he actually did something, so we’ll use him as an example. Not to mention he does have a portrayal edge anyways, but maybe we’ll see where the rest are at soon enough.
Lol Hitesu seen Zoro train with the sword for like 3 days and then thinks he can turn it Black while Oden couldn't do it, somebody they all admired and hype up. Lmao they don't know Zoro from a hole in the wall.
Got news for you, the beginning of the timeskip to the end of Dressrosa was hardly over 3 days. 3 days in One Piece time is an eternity to learn and grow, his growth rate is abnormal as it is, give him a literal power up to work on in those days and yea…not hard to imagine why Hitetsu would have confidence in a guy adapting that much in such short a time.
