It just feels weird considering he pulled up to the land of swordsman and fought samurai and even now he hasn’t even touched that blade, or even highlighted it. For you to be this elite of a swordsman to forge a black blade and not use is just bizarre to me. Like is he just that good to even try or maybe the blade just isn’t actually black. Even Mihawk himself has used Yoru against lesser opposition, so far Aramaki hasn’t even been portrayed as someone that relies on his blade let alone being comparable to Mihawk with swords so yes it would be super super weird and undermining to legendary swordsmen, but at the same time it could raise his stock if he somehow is revealed to be a master swordsman who’s so good he doesn’t even half to try half the time and just casually uses his fruit instead.

Because to me this is not a matter of capability or strength, but character and fighting style
All Kuzan needs to do to become a Garp level brawler is practice his arm strength

Black blades however are an entirely different matter, you must be an actual swordsman who actually gives a shit about his blade, and would feel ashamed if a single nick scratched its surface. “The will of a swordsman” and all that gibberish, that is what will be the key to black blades.

Ryokugyu is nature incarnate, something larger than life and rivals the power of the ocean. Find it pretty hard imagining someone as grand as this giving two shits about some blade, and trying to hone his swordsmanship to perfection and what not
