What's the meaning of syed? is it a caste in Islam?does Islam have castes?
It is not a cast, bro.
Sayyid is an honorific surname of Muslims recognized as descendants of the prophet Muhammad through his grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of Muhammad's daughter Fatima and his cousin and son-in-law Ali.
We respect them because of their sacrifice in the battle of Karbala against Yazid I.
Summary:
Battle of Karbala, (October 10, 680 [10th of Muḥarram, AH 61]), brief military engagement in which a small party led by al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad and son of ʿAlī, the fourth caliph, was defeated and massacred by an army sent by the Umayyad caliph Yazīd I.
They fought for Islamic values. It is totally wrong to suggest that they will go against marriage to a non-Syed. Especially when the Quran itself says you can marry anyone who is pious.
On top of that, I live in Muslim country and have seen many Syed marrying a non Syed. The Pasmanda story is totally BS, or just exist in India.
