Usually its always OP fans trying to prove they or their series is better than the other. usually other big main streams like Naruto fanbase or DB fanbase minding their own business until OP fans try to prove they are better.

short explanation is ego built up after 20 + years of maintaining top spots in manga popularity/sales.its the last ongoing series from the big 3 . That stuff slowly fading , only need to see recent charts to see that.
