Controversial why its always OP fans

Tbh I didn't mind it.
Because at that time rasenshuriken had a Limit , it was damaging Naruto and he can barely use it again next according to Tsunade. But fuckin plot armour and now he is spamming it.
Sure, but I wanted to see more action between Kakuzu and Naruto in which Naruto could show some wind based jutsus and I saw Rasenshuriken rather as a finisher. Imo Sasuke's battles were more interesting, especially his fight with Deidara and Itachi.

Funny thing was, his comparison really didn't make any sense because he was calling Oda the "Tolkien of Japan" based on making his antagonists multilayered individuals rather than "just evil".....

Comparing him to Tolkien is weird in this regard because Tolkien's work was all about Good vs Evil. Sauron was basically the fuckin devil.
Plus, only because Oda is a great mangaka doesn't mean he can also be a great novelist. Writing mangas is completely different to writing novels.

Only for the latter claim. The LotR comparison was made by a dude that deleted his account here years ago. Went by two names, Kingslayer and Homelander. Lol.
he has a new account I won't mention the name for obvious reasons tho

Usually its always OP fans trying to prove they or their series is better than the other. usually other big main streams like Naruto fanbase or DB fanbase minding their own business until OP fans try to prove they are better.
That was back in the day pretimeskip. You wouldn't see fans arguing that now. Though of 2010 and before. One piece was the undisputed best. Like yyh is good every episode. DBZ seemed bad sometimes like naruto given the absurdity of things like bringing back to life or a ninja in a jump suit.

Even great series like Hajime no ippo hxh and berserk were comparable but years of hiatus and etc left fans uninterested only picking them up when they had free time. But one piece gave us a plethora of great moments and characters. Even lesser talked about arcs like Jaya and drum island when watched in its entirety gave you the feeling you just watched an epic movie or play or seen something glorious in real life. Luffy riding a giant stream into the sky or leaving a giant shadow in the sky to keep a hundreds of years old promise. Or luffy punching the cannonball and holding hililuks flag high and proud. That reminds me we had epic flashback characters like bellemere and hililuk. We even had relatively badass characters like vivi or Robin. Wasn't much to hate about the original One Piece and the fillers and movies were actually good. People were so desperate for criticism they would talk about pirates thst couldn't swim as if that is comparable to a ninja wearing an orange jumpsuit in a village. Even as far as one piece has fallen it'd still loved by a new audience that don't really share my gripes. Through time I have realized that anime peaked in the 80s and 90s and One Piece has kept it afloat.

I like parasite aswell and aot caught my sttrntion for awhile but these new animes aren't enough to turn a grown man into a week like DragonBall and one piece.
