Chances are, origin stories like these help readers understand why Minato is the way he is as a ninja as well as the actions that he undertook during the Nine Tails attack on Konoha that time.

Sure I consider Minato manga as a Canon but I'm just thinking how did Kishimoto came up with it so fast, so he had it hidden or perhaps he have the stories for every character

I mean, the minato manga doesn't really have any heavy lore development. It's pretty basic stuff. He didn't come up with Naruto 0.5 lol

If anything, the Minato spin-off was drawn by Kishimoto while Boruto isn't, and it's related to some core elements of the original. It has more reasons to be canon than Boruto.

About "how did he come up with it so fast"? Well, the same way he came up with most stuff during the original series.

The story only delved a little deeper into stuff we already knew about and came up with a reason for the rasengan name. Kishimoto might have thought of that years ago and never had a chance to add it into the plot, or he could have come up with it the same morning he started drawing the spin off, that doesn't affect it's canonicity.
